When President Obama traveled to Florida this week, he sandwiched a partisan speech at Florida Atlantic University between two multimillion-dollar fundraisers for his 2012 campaign, allowing him to label at least part of the trip to a critical battleground state as official business.
While Mr. Obama can rely on Air Force One and other military aircraft at his disposal for official business, federal election laws require his campaign to pay for these presidential perquisites at just a fraction of the cost - the equivalent of a commercial airline ticket - whenever he or other administration officials are using federal government resources for political activity.
Yet, like most of his recent predecessors, Mr. Obama has shown a penchant for piggybacking fundraisers onto official trips, and figuring out the details of how much the Obama campaign must reimburse taxpayers for the mixed trips is complicated and opaque, confounding presidential scholars and even the most experienced federal election law experts.
Duh, I pay for everything...
ReplyDeleteSay here is a thought for you people:
What if you become more self sufficient, learn not to be a fat ass and lazy... What if, the less you work, because you can grow or provide for yourself and/or family with little cost so that way the govt can only take less from you and in essence they don't have the funds to keep operating...
Just think of it like this, would your fat, lazy ass work for free? no so neither will the slaved ones who do or work for the govt... The less they can take or tax, the less they have to use to do what they are trying as we speak...
If everyone raised up and said, I will no longer work and I will proved help to my neighbors if they do the same for me and wham-o guess what, no more govt, no more control... All because you stopped working...
Think abut it, they take taxes from you, this is what they use to control you, if you don't work, they can't tax that pay check, then they won't have any money...
You can say this is flawed and probably is, however, I see no other person offering up solutions... I don't see anyone else fighting... And I sure as hell don't see this problem going away...
As much as I dislike Obama and his way of explaining things away and such I would have to say that there have probably been times when the same situations have taken place in the Republican camp.
ReplyDeleteYes, I am a conservative Republican and I do sincerely believe these things happen on both sides of the camp!

ReplyDeleteBut if we all stop working who will pay for all the welfare and how will they send all that money to other countries, how will they waste more money on vacations and spend money on their special "pet" projects. Then they wonder why we are so ticked off. The people that are working are the ones mad. They work work work and they government takes it and gives it to the ones that know they don't have to work because the government will just give it to them.
VOTE - it still counts
