Maybe now the City of Salisbury can start to get it's financial affairs in order and it's priorities straight. I've heard your ideas about bringing the downtown back to life. They will work because they recognize that the idea of making it like it "was" won't work. What's past is past. Putting new ideas to work that embrace new mindsets and trends WILL work. Especially when you integrate the various resources the city has but have never been integrated. Yes, this will work. Salisbury will again be a place people want to visit.
His ideas for downtown are the best I've ever heard. This is exciting news because no one else could achieve his vision. Thanks Joe. Good to meet you today.
You will have fun with this. Within a few days the Daily Times will begin their attack on you, but I'am sure you are ready for that. Good luck. When we get some common sense in local Government, we will have none higher.
Joe, I live in the county but, I wish you the best because everything that goes on in the city affects the county and the goings on in the county affect the city as well. So run the good race, don't lower yourself to the level of the mudslingers that will no doubt oppose you.
Wow! nothing announced on the Times, wboc, or wmdt about this. Did you send out a Press release? And was Mike Lewis included? LOL! I can't wait til the Big athree try to cough this one up on their sites!
Your plans for financial accountability for a departments are crucial. Salisbury may just be salvageable. I can't wait to see the results. The amount of savings to the taxpayers will be staggering.
Thank God

ReplyDeleteYES Yes it does...I wish you all the best Joe
ReplyDeleteBout damn time.
ReplyDeleteFresh ideas. Ireton has just been in that campaign mode ever since he announced he was running.
ReplyDeleteHe's looking for political gain out of the mayor's job instead of focusing on THIS town 24/7.
His future goals have got in the way of his functions as our mayor.
Might as well just vote for Shannie if you don't run Joe.

ReplyDeleteShould have been FRONT PAGE NEWS on the Daily Slimes, but no mention of this whatsoever!
ReplyDeleteBut if you had been arrested, they would have been all over it ...
Daddio, I have not received a call from the Daily Times. Then again, should I be giving the Daily Times the time of day?
ReplyDeleteWhat do you bet they called Ireton about this?
ReplyDeleteJoe would need to make an announcement of his intent.
ReplyDeleteAfter all, the Daily Slime can't just print a "maybe" or innuendo or...
Oh, that's right, they WILL print a "maybe" or innuendo if Mike Dunn says it, or Jonathan Taylor says it, or it's against Debbie Campbell or...
