Surgeons from the University of Maryland Medical Center on Mar. 27 detailed what they said was the world's most comprehensive face transplant - allowing a 37-year-old man to emerge from behind a mask 15 years after a gun accident almost killed him.
This is amazing! God Bless him. I've read elsewhere the doner is kept secet on instances of facial implants. It's been done in excess of 20 times so far. I don't know why it is kept secret. Maybe has something to do with they now looking like the doner and to avoid any potential problems like assuming the dead person's identity.
Thats awesome, but who's face did he get, I wonder?
