On This Day In History.... Gas Prices Have Never Been Higher

Presented with little comment except to remind all those newly refreshed consumers that for every penny rise in pump prices, more than $1bn is added to the hoousehold spending bill (assuming driving habits are unaffected - which brings its own set of unintended consequential events). 2. In 1968-9 gas was about $3.50-4.00 US a gallon, back when I was stationed in Iceland. Today a gallon of gas is between $7.50-$8.00 US a gallon. So, as bad as we have it, sometimes others have it even worse. Their monetary system was part of the European collective group based on the Euro. Bad investments by their government officials made their whole economy collapse several years ago and everybody at the top was fired. We should do the same thing here in the United States, across the board. Iceland is beyond flat broke, and nobody wants their new/old Iceland $$$ Krona used today as the countries primary, if not only, currency again. Only native Icelandics living on the island want/use it. Right now Europe is desperately fighting the collapse of the Euro Dollar because if it falls, everything/treaties/agreements/collusion will also fall apart and countries will go back to their old form of currency. It stands to reason that NATO would also go down and OPEC? It will be every country for themselves again and gas will no longer be able to be artificially kept high. We, Americans would see a decrease in a few months and all the factors keeping it high right now would disappear. The day to day traders speculating in petrolium would disapear. Nobody would play that game for years to come. Arabs love to fight, and fight with each other they will, if left alone. Bring our troops home, our men and women's lives are being traded/sold for the rich, greedy investors trying to keep all they have, and all they hope to get in the future. Sovereignty of/to/for America should be our constant theme with crooked politicians, to hell with foreigners and foreign governments.
