Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan has been among the vocal voices weighing in on calls for justice for Trayvon Martin, an unarmed 17-year-old who was gunned down last month while walking home in Sanford, Florida. On Wednesday, a march was held in New York City in support of the teen’s family, as federal and local authorities launch investigations into how the incident unfolded and why the state’s “stand your ground” law applied to the shooter in this case.
On Twitter yesterday and today, Farrakhan sent some curious tweets regarding peace, justice and retaliation that could be interpreted as a veiled threat.
i always wonder when the payback will come for all the hate that this man and al sharpton and jesse jackson have whipped-up in people over the years.
ReplyDeleteBring it on hoodies!!
ReplyDeleteThis could be the dumbest thing I have ever heard. If the man had a gun and was chasing the 17 year old kid how in the world can he claim self defense, HE WAS CHASING HIM. Seems to me if you felt that your life was threatened you would run away, such as the kid did, not run after the problem....

How do you know the whole story?
3:59 the story has been all over the news. When the guy called 911 they told him to STAY IN his car and the police would be there shortly. He ignored them and confronted an unarmed innnocent teen.
ReplyDeleteGeorge Zimmerman needs to be charged with murder and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The boy had a bag of skittles and an iced tea how can that constitute being in danger. This man just saw a young black kid and didnt think he belonged in his gated predominately white community. It was just plain wrong and justice needs to be served for this boy and his family. I'm sure some of you will disagree because as always on this blog racism is alive and well.
ReplyDeleteHeld a march for a florida boy in new York? Lmao.nothing he or sharpton does makes sense
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to this boy is a travesty. The shooter needs to be arrested and charged. "Stand your ground" should not even be considered.
ReplyDeleteBut Farrakhan should stand down because "retaliation" is nothing more than an excuse to hurt more innocent people.
Two wrongs do not make a right.
The law needs to make this right for that poor boy and his family.
