This Just In By A Very Reliable Source, Daily Times Screws ANOTHER Customer

Hey Joe….I read your post the other day about the Daily Times charging you’re acct. for over $1,000 for receiving the paper for coupons….Well I also signed up for that deal “At FOOD LION” just like your wife did and not only did they charge my acct. for $1,134 also…BUT I NEVER EVEN GOT SUNDAY’S PAPER WITH THE COUPONS!! I am on the phone with them right now telling them what I think….were to shove their paper and how I’m contacting you right now so that you can tell the world that they are scamming MORE people for their money. Are they that bad off that they are latterly ripping off tons of people??? I am just in disbelief!!!

Publisher's Notes: For the record, it wasn't me nor my Wife. The original letter came in from one of our viewers. When buying a Daily Times subscription, BE VERY AFRAID!

  1. t remember the scammers at food lion. at thanksgiving they were at a podium in the front section of the store telling people they were entering them in a raffle for 1000.00 and they needed name address and phone number so they could reach you when you "win". then as soon as they got the pen in your hand they pretty much let you know you were going to buy a subscription to the "paper" at a very discounted price. they spoke very fast and were very persistant, almost bullying. i said forget it and took back my "raffle ticket". i complained to the cashier as i was leaving and she too said she didn't like what they were doing because they were making it seem like they were working for food lion not the paper. im glad i didn't let them talk me into giving up any info. my intuition was right it seems.

  3. I think you should call the Store Manager of Food Lion and explain your situation and that it has happened to others. I know they give out gift cards to Food Lion, but they are obviously scamming people. The best way to stop these worthless losers is to let Food Lion know.

Joe can you put a link to the original story so that the managers of Food Lion can see how much money they people are stealing. I really believe the police need to get involved with his issue as well.

  4. Older ppl may not even realize it and just forget it. The elderly are victims of many scams like that.
