After tonight's debate, in which Ron Paul and Mitt Romney repeatedly attacked Rick Santorum over his 16-year record in Congress, the former US Senator for Pennsylvania hinted that something nefarious was going on.
"You have to ask Congressman Paul and Governor Romney what they've got going together," Santorum told reporters in the spin room in Mesa, Arizona. "Their commercials look a lot alike and so do their attacks."
Santorum's top strategist John Brabender went even further, charging that the two men had "joined forces" and were coordinating attacks against his man
"Clearly there's a tag team strategy between Ron Paul and Mitt Romney. For all I know, Mitt Romney might be considering Ron Paul as his running mate. Clearly there is now an alliance between those two and you saw that certainly in the debate."
Just when I thought that republicans ran out of crazy ideas, they surprise me again. It's like watching a bad car wreck.
ReplyDeleteSo what if he is considering him?
ReplyDeleteI think its a great idea.
ReplyDeleteIf you ask any true independent voter, they either like Romney for being a moderate conservative for social views or they like Ron Paul for his views of returning all rights back to the people and getting rid of government intervention.
Also, the committed right is favorable to Paul for his persistence to lower taxes and less government spending.
If you want real change, this is how you get it.

ReplyDeleteI agree completely. I posted a comment here last week that it looked like Ron Paul had a poker face. Got an ace up his sleeve or something.
I'd rather see him win straight up, but I'd vote that ticket!
I give Ron Paul props. No way is he going to get elected but he was really brought liberitarian ideas into the light. I Ron's a good guy, he is paving the way for Rand Paul
ReplyDeleteRon Paul has a reason to call Ricky fake. Ricky voted 52 times to increase spending, and never once author'd or co-sponsored a spending cut. He's no fiscal conservative. Voted to raise the debt ceiling 5 times, and voted to raise congressional pay 3 times. RINO
ReplyDeleteI really think that the "Three" would all like to say they would go with Paul as a running mate to get votes, but if they all did... What would that be saying... that Ron Paul id clearly the winning leader? I guess so! DANG! So much crap to get in the way...
