N.J. Governor Apologizes For Civil Rights Remark

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie apologized today for not being "clear enough" in recent discussions of same-sex marriage and the struggles for racial equality.


Bob Jordan, our Gannett correspondent in Trenton, reports that the uproar over Christie's comments reached far enough to draw Georgia civil rights leader John Lewis to Trenton this week to scold the Republican governor.

  1. Oh My God! We hurt someones feelings. Suck it up and move on. The white man does it every day. Minorities can say whatever they want about us and it ok. Those days are coming to an end.

  2. 2:24-To make matters even worse,white people usually make an issue of these things and bring everyones attention to it.Politicians with foresight realize that Christie will be a major force in upcoming elections.Their objective is to demonize him now,thus eliminating his future presidential hopes.
