  1. Good I hope they win. Dave White worked behind the scenes to help Fredericksen fire them. Part of the reason they were fired was because Union President Dave White told Fredericksen that the two of them told him Dr. Freddy was sleeping with a female BOE member. Firing someone on hearsay? From a Union President that is paid to represent and protect the employees?

  2. That is the reason the BOE is giving. But Fredericksen knows that isn't the truth. They were bucking the good ole boy system and following the law. THAT'S why they were fired. White knows it, Fredericksen knows it, and the BOE knows it. How can the BOE stand by and let Fredericksen bring so many headaches to an education system that is falling on it's face anyway? Does ouur school system really need his kind of drama? Funny how he came from a system frought with corruption and now blatant corruption pops up here. Well BOE, if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck......you know the rest.

  3. It's sad to know the intense emotional impact these ladies are having to endure. I hope they win big.

  4. Sorry but I believe that Dr.F just couldn't be manipulated by Moses. She decided to get even. She did her share of firing.

  5. The issues with Dr. Fteddy leeping with a female boatd member has been kept pretty quiet. What's up with that?

  6. She's resigning and no one will be any wiser.

  7. NEA, MSEA and WCEA are all teacher unions; National, State and local county. ???? Freddie is not being sued? did I miss something here? This is against White and the teachers' associations which is very different from the Board of Education.

  8. I'm afraid getting rid of Freddy is just scratching the surface. Almost every central office hot shot needs to go. Then get rid of school staff not doing their jobs. We cod probably start a list.

  9. The suit against the BOE will probably follow. I hope so anyway.

  10. 13,401 people have already read this article today.

Hey, wait a minute. I thought Fredericksen stopped the BOE from viewing Salisbury News!!!!

I told you Freddy, doing so would backfire on you and clearly it has.

  11. The gender discrimination suit will follow in federal court and EEOC matters and maybe ethics investigations. There will probably be many more lawsuits, not just from employees. Yes, let's renew this contract. We don't want to let someone this amazing get away. Minnesota's loss was our gain. RIGHT!

  12. Obviously there's something that is missing from this puzzle. I can see the BOE firing a non-tenured teacher. They don't need just cause.

The BOE should of had Just Cause to fire two senior leaders with a lot of time w/out repercussions.

Those two ladies did more than this blog is telling you. Moses and Frederecksen are snakes. Some snakes eat snakes. Moses is feeling what she has done to several teachers "Without Just Cause" for many years.

This doesn't let Dr. F. off the hook. That snake needs to go too! Even if the BOE is too coward to lead, the public has lost his trust. He's too poloarizing. Too much excess baggage!

  13. Moses didn't understand the laws of "Sowing and Reaping." She orchestrated the firing of several teachers that filed EEOC complaints against her and she laughed and blew them off with lies.

Due to their workload they didn't even investigate. Now she thinks that they don't know her name? She's already tainted!

EEOC has over 5,000 claims with 11 investigators. Moreover, when the courts get through raking her over the coals and removing her case from court to court and delays, EEOC and the courts will probably get to her case in two-three years.

Although it "appears" that she was wronged, this does not release her from culpability of all of the wrong that she and Mark Thompson has done at the BOE to other teachers. At least Mark Thompson had Dr. F. secure him a job!

  14. Dr. F was not part of the "good old boy's" network at the BOE. Stephanie Moses, Bruce Ford and Brian Foret were the ringleaders. They existed through many superintendent changes. They made sure that there were many add-ons to their salaries and that relatives or friends got jobs.

  15. I don't understand how they can begin to file a civil suit yet...don't they have to at least wait the 90 days for a right to sue letter from EEOC?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Bruce Ford is a Dr. Freddy puppet.

    ReplyDelete
  17. The Civil Suit is against Dave White, the Teachers Union President and Chief Negotiatior, and the local, state and national teachers' association who Mr. White represents. The civil suit has nothing to do with their gender discrimination case.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I would assume a claim was filed long before the ladies were fired. Smart girls.

  19. If you dont like what is happening then hold Dr. F and the Board accountable. All decisions regarding serious disciplinary actions and terminations are approved by the Superintendent as only he has that power. The staff works for the Superintendent. And we see what happens when you question the decision making of the Superintendent. Don't get the messenger mixed up with the decision maker.

  20. Bruce Ford is an excellent employee who does impeccable work. He understands the chain of command very well, too.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I only know who Bruce Ford is. How is it, though, that there can be so divergent views of him? 6:16 says that his work is "impeccable," while two others called him Dr. Fredericksen't puppet and a ringleader of the Good Old Boys Club. Interesting.

  22. It seems very clear the answer is find another super. Why is this so difficult for the BOE to get? Its so evident our county needs change. Simple, dont renew his flippin cntract.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Let's keep our eye on the ball. Tuesday at 1:30 is the meeting to vote on Dr. Fredericksen's renewal. We have to fight that battle before worrying about some of these other issues.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Understanding chain of command and condoning wrong is clearly not grounds for grading ones performance as impeccable. If you stand by and allow wrong to happen, you are just as guilty. Do we not think MOST central office staff were (are) aware of the wrongs? MaN Up.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Bruce Ford has a son, daughter in law and daughter in the system.

    ReplyDelete
  26. If we were to list all family ties at the BOE, everyone would be surprised. You can start at central with Vincents, Deals and Smoaks.

    ReplyDelete

    1. So what. Nothing wrong with two people being married and working for the same employer as long as they are in different depts with separate chain of commands. They are lots of married couples in the schools just like you would find at any large employer like SU or PRMC or Perdue.

  27. Deals share an office in same department with same supervisor and same chain of command.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Walstons daughter and son in law are in special education. She is the special education director. Might want to check out his credentials? I guess the BOE would tell you those two have another supervisor.

    ReplyDelete
  29. No accountability at the BOE. MOSES amd MESSICK, best to you. When all said and done, you two need to come back and clean house.

    ReplyDelete
  30. 6:21
If Walston's family is in spec ed then ultimately Walsto as director of special ed IS their supervisor. Even if they claim they have a different supervisor then their supervisor is STILL under the command and direction of Walston....so where would the accountability be for their performance or actions?

    ReplyDelete
  31. No accountability. I too would challenge investigating the son in laws credentials? How long did or has he maintained a job without a teaching certificate? Pays to know the special education director. Never mind, investigations occur on the inside. We, the public, never knows the truth about ANYTHING.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anyone know the names & job positions of Walstons...

Who are the Smoak and Deal relatives?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Deals are both PPW. Smoaks are both central office staff, one special education and one transportation .

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think the issue with the "family" is bigget than just being family. When you have children being hired just because of who they are, there is a problem. Walston is not the only one whose family got hired. Ford has two or three. Vincents both at central office and some crap there. Ashbys both hold key positions at central. Good ole boys can harm and hurt. Walstons connection with Norm Conway inhibits his help in making things right.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Walstons daughter teaches at Pinehurst and son in law is at SMS, I believe.

    ReplyDelete
  36. This community needs to do what we can to encourage the board to not renew the contracr. Then hope a new super will clean out.
