Michelle Obama's Pitch: Share the Wealth

First lady Michelle Obama has joined her husband's bandwagon to hit the rich and spread the wealth, questioning how well-off families can feel good if others are struggling.

To about 300 supporters wealthy enough to pay $300-$10,000 to attend the mid-day event, the first lady said, "If a family in this country is struggling, we cannot be satisfied with our own families' good fortune."

She also rapped the rich, as has her husband. "Who do we want to be?" Obama asked. "Will we be a country where success is limited to the few at the top? This country is strongest when we are all better off."

  1. And who is she speaking to. People that can afford 300.00 to $10,000.00 to be there. And how much has she spent on tax payers vacations. If that isn't a hippocratic statement, there never was one. She just doesn't know she's stupid, to make a statement like that to that crowd.

  5. Is it me or does it seem the Democrat president's wives interfere too much? I don't remember Barbara or Laura doing that. They need to learn their place. We didn't vote for Michelle Obama, so why is it we have to put up with her?

  6. If you're capable of working then you should work. Not be handed money that someone else has earned.

  7. If Michelle wants to share the wealth how come she and Barack don't give up some of their millions to charity and the poor taxpayers.Instead of having expensive vacations and extravagant
parties at the White House inviting all the rich musical stars to entertain them.
