We have done everything we can possibly do to educate the Board Members as to Fredericksen's past. Today we deliver factual documents, something your local Main Stream Media has not done. Click on images to enlarge.
Today, if you were to go to the Board of Education Website, there's no mention of today's meeting/vote.
We have seen comments come through challenging us as to why we do not attend such mentioned meetings, IF it's so important to us.
The deal is this. They hold these meetings when "We the People" cannot attend. However, don't you think for a second that "We the People" aren't gaining ground. In the past, all that the citizens had was the Daily Times. Citizens simply went by what they were told. Guess what, ALL of that has changed now and these people know it.
Accountability today is far different from the past where local media controlled what was said. "We the People" are providing information never seen before, such as the documents shown above.
You can chastise us and act as if we really don't care because we can't make a meeting on a week day during working hours. However, you mark my words right here and now, ALL of that will change in the near future.
We will get these meetings aired on PAC 14. We will get the Board to change their meeting hours after the business day is over.
Salisbury News IS "We the People". Michelle Wright better not cast her vote and resign soon after. If she does this, (knowing what lies ahead with new laws) she will never be elected into any office down the road and we'll see to that. We'll expose her for such and the citizens, "We the People" will not vote for her.
We have provided documents and information no one else has ever provided. We WALK THE WALK. Let's see what the Board Members do today after they see this information.
New Posts to fall below.
Joe All I can say is THANK YOU for all you give us. Let the TRUTH be told.
ReplyDeleteThe BOE meeting is at 1:30 TODAY- it's open to the public. But right now, call the BOE at 410-677-4400 and state your feelings on this.
ReplyDeleteYou Rock Joe! Yes, let the truth be told. Thank God I do not have children in the school system. Just a shame that the vote on Dr. F's contract is during the day since most members of the community that have children in the system work during the day.
ReplyDeleteAll I can say is Wicomico County School System I am glad I don't work for your county!!!!
ReplyDeleteI wrote emails to each board member...as of this minute, I have only heard back from board member Elmore....
ReplyDeleteI think the board is playing ostrich..burying their head somewhere
Better the devil you know than the one you don't know. Personally I believe Dr. F is cleaning house which was needed.
ReplyDeleteBoard members are told not to respond and let the President of the Board speak for them. I am surprised Elmore responded.
ReplyDeleteI too have sent letters. Ron Willey and Carolyn Elmore responded. Come on BOE. Do what is RIGHT? If not there were be major repercussions that will impact the children in this county!

ReplyDeleteCalling the number you gave is not going to help. Messages go to the appropriate staff at the central office. They ARE NOT shared with board members. It's a way to make the public think the board will find out opinions; never do board members know what was said on through that phone line. Slick.
Will the WBOC or WMDT news be on the BOE grounds toeday at 1:30?
ReplyDeleteRegardless of reports, the BOE has been contacted TIME AND TIME again. THEY are not being truthful if THEY say only one person contacted them. It is their tactic to "justify" to the public OUR lack of concern. I think ALL the staff NEEDS to WALK OUT OF THEIR POSTS.

ReplyDeleteIf he wants to clean house, he should have the guts to base firings on job performance, not a conversation that supposedly took place at lunch with one of his cronies.
I know when I log onto this site this evening, I am going to read about how the Board has given Fredricksen four more years. This makes me so sick because unethical people are in charge for our children's education. SCARY
ReplyDeleteJob performance doesn't count in this county!
ReplyDeleteAs a parent of two Magnet students, I cannot understand how the BOE could even consider going to a four day school week. It would be like cramming four days of homework into three. Less work for teachers, more stress on kids and family. Where would the time be for after school activites? Kids need to play and exercise daily.
ReplyDeleteFredericksen denied he ever sent out the 4 day a week letter to the state. I hope they are reading this because he flat out lied.
ReplyDelete12:30 PM
ReplyDeleteYou are so innocent if you believe catching him in a lie would matter to the board members. As if this would be the first time ...
From what wasn't covered up in the first letter, we cannot tell what the first option was Mr F was questioning. I read the letter to be that Mr F was looking at possible options - not that it was a solid plan - and the letter from Mr S gives the pros and cons and and rules.
ReplyDeleteThe last two letters give someone the correct way of filing complaints. Something the person filing should have checked before filing. The last letter has a lot crossed out so it is hard to know exactly what is being said but we do glean "a policy is in place" for correct procedure.
Mr F has no choice but to reduce the school budget. He cannot sit back and do nothing. I give him credit for trying every avenue possible. Of course as anyone can see his asking about a 4 day week hit a dead end. All you that know he should be fired, what is your suggestion for reducing the school budget. Before you start making your list, be sure to check mandates, COMAR rules, etc., you will find it not an easy job.
12:51 - My first suggestion for cutting the budget is for Freddy to get out of bed with the Teachers Union.
ReplyDeleteIt is done - 4 more years.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of alternatives to consider before going to a 4 day work week.
ReplyDeleteFirst off - how about slightly increasing the class sizes and then reducing the number of administrators, then teachers. SBYnews has already done an indepth investigation into this subject whereby the savings were staggering - in the millions.
Come on Fredericksen - get with the program. Let's get this train back on track. Do what any normal person would do - reduce spending through attrition. Wicomico is 22 out of 24 jurisdictions in highest percentage in POVERTY. Almost 1 in 5 of our residents are considered poverty - (ref. US Census Bureau).
Four more years? WOW.
ReplyDeleteHere is a novel thought - if there is a letter you feel each board member should read, simply mail it to them certified and request a return receipt - they will need to sign for it and in that way you will know they received it - pretty hard to hide from that in open court should it come up, eh?
ReplyDeleteWhile I get your point, there's one minor flaw in your theory. That would only guarantee they received it. The point is that they need to read it. Clearly four of them have not been reading.
