  4. respect is earned, not given. I was raised to give respect when it was earned. Public service wasn't designed to be a life time career. I have trouble respecting any of those in office right now. And this is yet another Kennedy.

  7. In America we do NOT 'respect' PERSONS.

We rebelled against the KING and the very concept of ROYALTY.

Each and every ONE of us are Kings.

  9. "If you have been raised to respect public service, you would appreciate the significance of this."

The job of a congressman which Kennedy is vying for is in no way shape or form a positon of "public service." Public service and civil service are interchangable phrases and excludes elected postions, the judiciary and also the military.

  10. Civil service is paid staff, hired.

Public service is elected or appointed office, paid or not.
