Investigators Looking For Wanted Sex Offender

Suspect:

James E. Fleetwood, 29, Smyrna, DE
White male, 5’09” tall, 160 lbs, brown hair, and blue eyes

Resume:
Smyrna, DE- The Delaware State Police Sex Offender Apprehension and registration Unit (S.O.A.R) is currently looking for a Smyrna sex offender after he failed to re-register his current address.

Investigators have obtained warrants on James E. Fleetwood, 29, who is a high risk Tier 3 sex offender, after they learned that he failed to register as homeless, and had not notified S.O.A.R. of his status within 7 days as he is required to do by law.

James Fleetwood is described as a white male, 5’09” tall and 160 lbs. he has brown hair and blue eyes.

The Delaware State Police Sex Offender Apprehension and Registration Unit is asking anyone who may know the location of James Fleetwood to call Detective Donna Oliphant at 302-943-1560. Citizens may also provide a tip by texting keyword “DSP” plus your message to 274637 (CRIMES). Tipsters may also provide information through lines maintained by Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333.

  2. Why is it every week or so I see that Delaware is always losing it's sex offenders? Don't they enforce the law on them harshly like they do here in Wicomico county? Here if you miss a date your hunted down like a rabid dog! Maybe Lt. Roberts should go up there and teach them how it is done!

  3. I see posts every time a Delaware sex offender fails to register a new address. I'd say they appear to be on top of catching the offenders. This guy isn't wanted for doing anything, just not registering that he is now homeless.

  5. High risk sex offenders have no business back on our streets whether monitored or nor. All the courts and jails do is let them out to offend again.
