I think you are right. Their job is not to inject their personal opinions and 'sense of judgement' into an arrest.
Cuff em stuff em and fill out paperwork is all that is required of them.
Not to use their tasers, batons and guns just because they can.
In some cases, sure they are needed. But many are drawing down of people needlessly and without justification.
I am still waiting for an update on the 54 year old woman in Culpepper, Va. who was killed by cop. Haven't found any yet.
Last I have read is there are two eyewitnesses that contradict the official 'version' of what happened.
Makes me wonder how many times this has happened without any witnesses.
And how does a police dept. 'lose' tens of thousands of dash cam videos?
My advice would be to try and be around a lot of people if you are confronted by police. More witnesses the better and more likely someone will record it.

Even if that were true, it still does not give the police the right to dole out their own form of punishment.
I believe that's called vigilantism. If you or me tried doing that we would be arrested. So why should cops be allowed to do it? Especially when it is not their job to and have no legal right to?
Handcuffed, tied to chairs, restrained, and healthy BEFORE the video cameras were TURNED OFF. Beaten bloody after they are turned back on and the police should have "followed procedures?"?? Murders. And the judges and States Attorneys are complicit (accessory) to murder. They are thugs. Killers. Gangbangers with the authority (well-exercised, too) to kill us whenever they want to, with or without reason, knowing --- KNOWING -- that the rest of the judicial system will give them a wink and a nod. Evem when the film shows MURDER. How can someone tied to a chair and in restraints be so dangerous to these "heroes" that he has to be pepper sprayed 10 times in 48 hours and KILLED? Resist or die. THAT should be their new motto, because "protect and serve" is beyond a joke. Waaaay beyond....
this is totally disgusting and I am sure just a tiny percentage of what really goes on. None of these individuals should be allowed on any police force in any civilized country. then the cops wonder why people hate them and don't trust them. My wife or child comes home looking like that after an encounter with one of these wannabe hitlers it's open season on them!
11:15 yeah because people no longer trust a cop. any cop for that matter, the can lie plant weapons drugs say anything and their word is gospel in a court of law. and they know it. so why bother going there if you know you're already f'd, better to settle it right then and there. Which is why the numbers are up! At least the cop won't walk away and do it to someone else. conisder it your civic duty!
looks like the SS cops at it agin.
ReplyDeleteSome police have the mistaken idea that it is their job to punish. Their job is to arrest and detain, and leave the punishment to the courts.

I think that season is long past due. And actually, there has been a rise in the number of deaths in the line of duty.
I wonder why?
