Tonight Mayor Jim Ireton will perform his State of the City address at Salisbury University. I will not be attending as I have an appointment with my, well, you make us the excuse here.
I have absolutely NO interest in what this jackass has to say as we all know 99% of it will be lies anyway. You can read all about those lies in a few days in the Daily Times.
Will there be a trapeze act? I know the Juggler will be there! And there will probably be an elephant in the room!
ReplyDeleteThese idiots just slapped businesses that use any volume of water, with another tax. They are calling it a "pre-treament" fee. Let's see---we already pay the highest water and sewer rates in the area. And now an additional tax, I mean fee, to pre-treat waste water.
ReplyDeleteHuh? That new waste water plant is working well, I guess.
Jim also doubles as the sword swallower.
ReplyDeleteAn audience of two...laura and mike (dunn)
ReplyDeleteClown face for the clown shoes.
ReplyDeleteExpect grand plans, self-congratulation, special favors dressed up as something else, and a new way to say "vibrant renaissance."
ReplyDeleteSalisbury's state? Half way to turning into Compton California. Dopers and gang bangers and murders oh my!
ReplyDeleteit's a shame we couldn't at least get a picture of all 3 people in attendance. it really would have looked so funny in that big hall.
ReplyDeleteDid he say how much the taxpayers spent on putting out press releases and setting up press conferences?
ReplyDeleteIt was a 3-ring circus, complete with Jim-Beau's acolytes from PACe and SU. Pollit's "public info officer" was there too.
ReplyDeleteHe wants to spend more money for down town to be revitalised. It will never happen. Charging to park, closing main street, to many lawyer and too many offices. I grew up in the 60,s and down town was great. It will never return as it once was. Go see down town Berlin if you want to see what an old down town should look like.I ride through Salisbury at night and it is so depressing. The lights around most of Salisbury look like 15 watt bulbs. Use the lights like Baltimore does so we can feel safe, not afraid to go out at nights. That is why we go to the mall and not near main street.
