Get A Load Of This Crap

By Zoe Pagonis, Communications and New Media Manager

As the Governor’s New Media Manager, I read almost every comment that comes into our office. I have a first-hand look into what people want to know, how they are reacting to different topics and what’s going on around Maryland.

These last few weeks have been a very special time in our office and throughout our State and the comments left by Marylanders on social networks have reflected that sentiment.

As an office, we typically only share these types of comments internally, but these were so moving that we had to share….

GO HERE to view all the messages they HAD to post.

I mean, they even went so far as to publish this below.
You libs will stop at nothing. To make one of your kids write something like that, unbelievable. More like, sick.

  1. What a bunch of BS! Where are all of the comments of opponents of the bill!? Maryland is heading downhill fast and is now comparable to the ancient cities Sodom and Gomorrah that were demolished due to the Wrath of God.
Our country needs to change its motto NOW because "In God We Trust" no longer applies, as it did during our Founding Father's time. What a DISGRACE our Governor is, as well as our politicians who voted in favor of the bill, and all those homosexuals that possess no morals and who truly believe that this is a good thing! Is sodomy legal now too? Because we all KNOW what 2 gay guys do behind closed doors!!!

  2. There have been many polls on many websites about this and in every one that I have looked at it seems no one is happy about this. It used to be majority rules. Now it's what ever the government wants to do.

  3. You christians need to realize that your views can in NO WAY have affect on a law. That is unconstitutional by way of the 1st amendment.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Gay Marriage is illegal, only because of christian beliefs, which is completely unconstitutional.

Youre going to have to live with it.

Claiming that someone else's marriage is against your religion is like getting angry at someone for eating a donut because you're on a diet.

  4. How is this any different than parents forcing their young kids to go to church (or mosque, or synagogue, or whatever).

  6. Ok. If a gay person wants to be gay with another gay person, so be it. Everyone to their thing. However, with the law passage, they will have to purchase a marriage license. Therefore more money for the State. That was O'Malley's goal. Anything he can tax.

  8. Yup 5:37 this is a totally pro business. Fees for the state, florists, hall rentals, caterers etc. Win win
As it is now they go to DC and spend their money there why shouldn't Maryland benefit.

  10. That's an awesome letter! Little Aiden is proud of his family as he should be and he wants the same equality that other families get. Good for his parents for raising such a brave little man!
And to all of you "so called Christians". Stop hating so much, and love like Jesus did!
It's kind of funny because usually the people who are so adimately opposed to gay rights are usually the ones who are still in the closet! haha....Come out and join us. you'll be a much happier person if you do!

the government has chosen to RECOGNIZE marriage in the christian sense. basically so they can make you buy a license id imagine. therefore, the governmet is UNCONSTITUTIONAL for accepting a christian tradition. so, the government should get out of the marriage business altogether. there. everyone is happy now, right?
