Dear Maryland Marriage Supporters

We just got word that Maryland Delegate Patrick Hogan is making the statement that while he has heard from hundreds of people who support gay marriage, he has not heard from people from the other side of the issue that believe in natural marriage. Please make a phone call now to his office and let him know that you are for preserving traditional marriage.

If asked if you are a constituent of Del. Hogan, ( Fredrick) please make the point that this legislation would affect all of Maryland, and that you are a Maryland Citizen. If you have time to make one phone call right now, please make this one. It is critically important that Del. Hogan hear feedback from all of us immediately!

Patrick Hogan (410) 841-3240 patrick.hogan@house.state.md.us

Thank you!

  1. From my Baltimore County brother:

"He's full of you know what. We had a large group from our parish in Annapolis last year and are going down again next Monday. They all are hearing plenty from what he calls the other side of the issue."

  3. What business is it to anyone other than those involved if gays and lesbians get married? Same sex couples are here and they aren't going any where. They can adopt children, foster children, work, buy homes and they do. Just because some may not agree with their life style doesn't mean they shouldn't have the same luxuries straight couples have of shared insurance, income tax standards and being acknowledged for their contributions to society.

A cause worth fighting would be removing people that make a career of living off welfare from welfare programs. Holding people accountable for having children they do not care for. Investing in community centers for kids.

  4. Why do they insist that it be called a "Marriage"?. Stop trying to defile what many christians hold sacred. I dont agree that men should marry men, or women marry women. However...if they would simply call it a civil union or partnership recognized by the state then hey,no big deal. I agree thatsame sex couples can adopt children, work, etc. I can also put a wedding dress on a dog or goat and march down the aisle...but doing something just because I want to doesnt make it right.

  5. So i assume that since gay people are not able to enjoy all of the rights as straight people do then they should receive some type of tax break b/c of that? Honestly i am not on either side. I feel that marriage is an antiquated institution and am not sure what the big deal is on either side. But fair is fair.

  6. Just posting this shows your character. Against gay marriage? Don't get gay married. Stop trying to take away from other people and start giving back to them.
