Economists and labor experts say that in some industries, there is a legitimate talent shortage. Some think there are other factors. 'Employers have been spoiled by the recession.'
My brother is a plant manager at a steel mill, and they had openings for over a year that they couldn't fill domestically(During the recession, the company ended it's on the job trainee course, something that'd been in place for over 60 years). They ended up having to hire a group of Europeans and bring them in from overseas. Same can be said in HR's across the country. We lack skills, not jobs.
I know this will upset the crowd but oh well .....our country has this thing against felons. People which have been in trouble done their time and continue to be punished for it for life. ..... got your attention? Knee this would......now granted I'm talking about people who made mistakes young or only once. Not people who constantly are charged.if the laws were changed to make it so that after a man does his time then he's done his time and can't be held against him anymore the work force would have more people to chose from.prisons spend alot of money teaching/ training inmates to work in all kinds of fields and allow them higher education. Its hards for a person who has made a mistake in their life's to rebound in society. Its even harder when that person went to prison learned the skills they need to be productive in society and can't even get the chance to prove themselves.they'll ultimately return to making poor choices just to survive.
