Va. Billboard Seeks To Comfort Non-Believers
WASHINGTON - A new group is using a billboard to announce their faith, or lack thereof. The billboard on I-95 South near Fredericksburg asks, "don't believe in God?" and then answers, "you are not alone."
The billboard went up on Thursday and will stay up through the end of the month.
The Fredericksburg Coalition of Reason will march in a religious freedom parade in Fredericksburg Sunday. The members will be carrying a banner designed like the billboard. The parade is to mark the 235th anniversary of Thomas Jefferson drafting the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom, which inspired the First Amendment.

ReplyDeleteboth muted by their particular faith and lack there of
All you non believers will find out God is there one of these days when you must meet your maker.
ReplyDeleteHa! Verification word "nomother". Let them believe whay they want; just no need to shove it down my throat. I know my Maker AND my mother!
ReplyDeleteWhich cane first the chicken or the egg? If you believe in God you know the chicken came first. If you don't believe in God then well you have a real problem.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the name, as if the conclusion that God exists is not "reasonable"
ReplyDeletei guess they shouldnt use any money that says 'in god we trust'on it to put up billboards like that.if the money is good they must believe its good because of how its backed.IN GOD WE TRUST
ReplyDeleteScience has disproved everything in the Bible, just take the known 6 million speciese of animals that are here, then take the measurements of Noah's Ark, there is no way they could have been on that small boat.
ReplyDeleteThen take the recent discovery of the Jesus family tomb, proving he died and never rose as the Bible says, there are hundreds of Myths in the Bible that science can explain, fools belive in God, Jesus, virgin birth, Faries, Unicorns, Lepricons, Saints, Angels.......
America was started for freedom of religious belief and speech. I may or may not agree (in this case I don't care) but I thank all those who support and fought for those freedomes.
ReplyDelete11:01 pm: I will see you on Judgement Day as u account for these statements and your unbelief.
ReplyDeleteIt will be too late for u at that time to repent.
To 11.01 go to google and look up the statements you made about the tomb and etc: I believe you did not finish reading all the facts, only what you wanted. For along time they have tried to disprove the Bible, so far, still trying. As for 6 million species of animals. If two different animals just happen to mate, lets say a donkey and a horse, it makes a new species. That could happen today. So, now where are you headed, up or down. I would rather take my my chances on God, than find out to late I was wrong! Remember if you don't believe in anything, you will fall for everything.
ReplyDeleteIf you look for proof from Science that God exists, well...
ReplyDeleteIt's a wicked generation that looks for "proof"...you need to humble yourself...
Even Einstein and Hawkings believe in some type of providing source. I know there is a Father and you have the right to believe that there's not. I fight for the right on a daily basis.
"Help, I'm Christian and I'm being oppressed."
ReplyDelete-sayeth 75% of the American population.
Hop off your high horse. Religion is BS, the Bible is BS, and if you believe for any other reason beyond blind faith your logic and reason are BS.
