UPDATED: Equipment Failure Leaves 5500 Delmarva Power Customers Powerless

UPDATE – 3:15PM by ML – About 5500 Delmarva Power customers were left without power for just over 40 minutes this afternoon between Selbyville and Dagsboro.  Delmarva Power officials tell WGMD the cause was in equipment failure when a switch burned out at the Indian River Substation.  The outage was reported just before 2pm and power was restored by around 3pm.
