Smoking Pot Doesn't Hurt Lung Capacity, Study Shows

Periodically smoking marijuana doesn't appear to hurt lung capacity, the largest study ever conducted on pot smokers has found.
Even though most marijuana smokers tend to inhale deeply and hold the smoke in for as long as they can before exhaling, the lung capacity didn't deteriorate even among those who smoked a joint a day for seven years or once a week for 20 years, according to the study published Tuesday in JAMA, the journal of the American Medical Association.

  4. 50%. LOL

Anywho, who cares if it does. Alcohol and cigarettes are way more dangerous than weed, yet they are legal. Thats because the courts realize that we are free to make our own lifestyle decisions. So apply the same rulings to weed.

  5. I have never heard worse arguments on why something should be illegal. "Oh its bad for you and impairs your judgement, therefore it shouldn't be allowed". News flash, everything you ingest is bad for you besides those things that grow NATURALLY. That means that cheeseburger, those french fries, that soda all can cause as much if not more harm then smoking. And cigarettes as well as alcohol are just as bad if not worse, oh but wait our country thrives off of the sale of thos eitems with alcohol and tabacco being some of the biggest markets. You can keep denying the facts all you want, the reason marijuana is illegal is simply because the government doesn't want it to be.

Oh ok well lets just throw out the results of the funded research that the company used and just go off of your 50% comment. Any idea how it reduces "thinking" and "judgement for decisions" by 50% or was that a random number you just grabbed? In all honesty it sounds like you smoked one right before you typed up your comment.

  9. 1140-A recently released medical study shows that brain function IMPROVES with marijuana usage. Keep listening to those that misinform you lol

359-Marijuana has less carcinogens than tobacco. Also, virtually no chemicals like that are found in tobacco. PS....Doctors nowadays prescribe marijuana to pregnant women, smoke it through a vaporizer and you've got clean smoke. Get with the facts, not bs conjecture!
