Small Turnout For Occupy Annapolis

Determined local activists try to renew interest in national economic protest

For a while yesterday afternoon, Brian Dobbs "occupied" downtown Annapolis all by himself.

That is to say, the Occupy Annapolis organizer and Edgewater resident stood with his protest sign completely by himself.

"Some people have snarkily commented, 'Not too many of you out here, huh?' " Dobbs said. "I'll stand out here alone if I have to."

Dobbs was eventually joined by a few others who came to the City Dock area yesterday to protest economic and social inequality in the U.S. as part of Occupy Annapolis, the local companion to the movement that started with Occupy Wall Street in New York.
