Resume:
Marydel, DE- The Delaware State Police have obtained arrest warrants against a Maryland man in connection with two burglaries at a Marydel, Delaware business.

The investigation began after Troopers had responded to two burglary complaints at Doris’ Market located in the 300 block of Halltown Road in Marydel, DE on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 and Sunday, December 18, 2011. In both cases the suspects knocked a hole in an exterior wall in order to gain entrance into the store. Once inside, the suspects proceeded to remove an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing from the business.

Detectives from the Delaware State Police Troop 3 Property Crimes Unit were able to obtain video footage from the store’s surveillance system and were subsequently able to develop John Wade Bell, 32, as a suspect.

Earlier today, detectives from the Maryland State Police as well as the Caroline County Sherriff’s Department executed a search warrant at Bell’s residence located in the 1300 block of Duhamel Corner Road, Suddlersville, Maryland. Bell was taken into custody without incident. The subsequent search of his home revealed evidence linking him to the Doris’ Market burglaries.

John W. Bell was arrested and is currently being held in the Queen Anne’s County Detention Center as a fugitive from Delaware. He will be arrested on the above list of charges pending his extradition back to Delaware.
