A Comment Worthy Of A Post 1-12-12

"Wayne Strausburg has just been appointed County Administrator by Rick Pollitt.

Wayne is Ricks revenue cap buddy and chairman of the county charter review committee. Many conflicts and problems there."

  1. Doesn't and won't matter... He will stay regardless of conflicts with interests...

And it goes to show, they are only after money anyway...

  2. This does not surprise me as he was the party that was representing the opposition to the Revenue Cap meeting held at SU about a month or so ago.

He was originally commissioned by Pollitt to give his vision as to why the Revenue Cap should be repealed or dramatically changed. Of Course - spending cuts were off the table - so it was hard really hard to tell how sincere he was to actually balancing a budget.

  3. has anyone checked out other county structures with similar populations? even in other states; not just maryland.

if we could find others that were doing a much better job than we are; we could showcase these and get this info out on a continual basis to show what a joke has become of the rick pollitt fiasco.

  4. Salisbury, MD — January 12, 2012 County Executive Richard M. Pollitt, Jr. today announced that he has appointed R. Wayne Strausburg as the new Director of Administration for Wicomico County.

So Joe, who do you think Mr. Pollitt should have appointed?

  5. Mr. Pollitt appointed the right person. Mr. Strausburg comes from the private sector. He has run businesses before and will attempt to get this county back on track.

  6. State and County cannot be totally run like a business. They have laws, charters, rules that they must adhere to, no matter what. Or who says what. The County is not like Perdue Co. etc..
