New Jersey Governor and Mitt Romney surrogate Chris Christie went after Newt Gingrich on Sunday, calling the newly-crowned South Carolina primary winner an "embarrassment" to the Republican party.
"Newt Gingrich has embarrassed the party over time. Whether he'll do it again in the future I don't know, but Governor Romney never has," Christie said in an appearance on NBC's "Meet the Press."
So Santorum won Iowa, Romney won NH, and Gingrich SC. Looks like republicans know exactly what they want.
ReplyDeleteThe Kenyan Muslim Communist should be afraid.
I guess Alex is finally getting it.
ReplyDeleteGosh Alex, I seem to remember a similar situation in the Democrat primary in 2008, between Obama, Clinton and Edwards. Another ridiculous sarcastic comment by a progressive liberal.
ReplyDeleteChristie can stay in jersey, just another rino. unlike most democrats I want the smartest guy in the room to be president. I don't care about personal bs. We're not electing the Pope!
ReplyDeletePartially true, 8:38, but then your guys nominated McCain, and allowed him to pick Palin.
ReplyDeleteYour party is not going to commit suicide again, is it?
8:46 - if we are not electing the pope, and personal lives do not matter, then when is your side going to apologize to Bill Clinton?
ReplyDeleteNewt may be smart, but he is just the guy to make Obama a winner again. Hope the voters come to their senses and see that.
ReplyDelete8:38, in 2008 democrats could afford to have 3 viable candidates because after having a moron in the office for 8 years, any democratic nominee would have beaten any republican nominee. Especially, after you decided to have Palin on the ticket.
ReplyDeleteWhat's happening to the republicans now only benefits Obama.
If your party had any sense, then Gingrich and Santorum should have dropped out of the race and support Mitt Romney. Romney will be your nominee, but he will come into general election race as damaged goods. Obama will destroy him during the debates.
So on behalf of all democrats, thanks and keep it up. You're repeating 2008 all over again.
Christie had his chance to run against them all and chose not to run. Probably because he's been promised the VP slot by at least one of them. Therefore, he should just keep his mouth shut.
ReplyDeleteI don't like Newt one ioda, but I wasn't handed the chance to run against him either.
Anon 9:11, the Republicans didn't "allow him to pick Palin". The American people have NO say in who they chose to run on the ticket with them!
Alex, glad to see you are so objective.
ReplyDeleteNewt will tear apart Obama in the debates!
ReplyDeleteChristie needs to worry about New Jersey. Actually he is much like Gingrich he will say what he belives like it or not. Christie has given us his opinion ans should now just leave it alone and let the people make the choice.
