Rally & Briefing On Plan Maryland
I received this information from Senator E.J. Pipkin and wanted to pass it along to you. As many of you are aware, PlanMaryland is a challenge to local authority and intends to centralize planning within the state's Department of Planning. The Maryland Senate Committee on Education, Health, and Environmental Affairs will be conducting a briefing on on December 12, 2011 at 11:00 AM. At this briefing both supporters and opponents to the Comprehensive State Plan will be allowed to speak. While the panel of both sides will be limited to the number of speakers, a presence of local officials and citizens will signify to the Committee that there are real concerns regarding PlanMaryland. The presence of county officials, farmers, and landowners will show strength in our numbers.
As of right now, the Committee will conduct the briefing within the hearing room, which is located on the 2nd Floor of the Miller Senate Building in Annapolis. Before the briefing there will be a Rally on Lawyer's Mall in Annapolis at 9:30 AM. Because not everyone will be able to speak at the briefing, this will provide a forum for citizens to express their concerns publicly. The press will be in attendance, so a strong showing will impress. Although I would encourage you to attend both the Rally and the Hearing, if you can only attend one part of the day, that would be great.
What: Rally and Briefing on PlanMaryland
Where: Rally - Lawyer's Mall, Annapolis, MD
Briefing - Senate Education, Health, and Environmental Affairs Committee Room, 2nd Floor Miller Senate Building, Annapolis, MD
When: December 12, 2011
Rally-9:30 AM; Briefing-11 AM
It would be great to see many of you there on Monday, December 12th.
MSNBC Host Al Sharpton Owes IRS $2.6 Million
MSNBC star Al Sharpton owes the IRS $2.6 million... But he did finally pay the Peabody Hotel in Memphis the $106,981 that he owed for a 2008 conference.
The New York Post reported:
The Rev. Al Sharpton’s nonprofit paid him nearly $242,000 — even as it carried $1.6 million in debt, according to documents obtained by The Post. In all, the controversial activist and his empire, including the National Action Network and two for-profit companies, were $5.3 million in the red, public records show.
Most of NAN’s money woes stemmed from more than $880,000 in unpaid federal payroll taxes, interest and penalties. It also paid more than $100,000 to settle two lawsuits, byproducts of the unpaid bills.
And it still owed $206,252 in loans to Sharpton’s for-profit Bo-Spanky Consulting Inc. and Sharpton Media LLC, the records show. Sharpton drew a $241,732 salary and perks that included first-class or charter air travel, tax filings show. He owes the IRS $2.6 million in income tax, and nearly $900,000 in state tax.
Perry: Obama Decisions Gave Iran Spy Drone
Perry was referring to a report on Fox news, according to which the US military offered Obama different courses of action for retrieving the drone or destroying it when it came down on Iranian soil last week, but he rejected both options for fear that they would be seen as acts of war.
"This president now, with Iran getting one of our predator drones in their possession(…), he had two choices. Actually, he had three. He chose the worst," Perry accused. "And those two opportunities he had was to either retrieve that drone or to destroy it. And he did the worst of the three. And he did absolutely nothing. And the Russians and the Chinese will have our highly technical equipment now.
Downed CIA Drone Could Help Iran Hide Nuclear Facilities
The downing of an American stealth RQ-170 Sentinel drone last week has caused consternation in the United States, who didn't believe Iran capable of such an electronic or other military attack.
[The drone may have been diverted and captured by hackers in Iran-- Editor]
On Thursday, the Islamic Republic aired footage of the missing drone, which appeared to have suffered only minimal damage.
Both current and former U.S. officials who spoke with the Associated Press under conditions of anonymity confirmed the drone was the Sentinel reported missing last week. Members of think tanks in Washington D.C. , including the Brookings Institute, said the loss could lead to an improvement in the Islamic Republic's ability to camouflage its facilities.
Iran protested Friday to the United Nations over America's "provocative and covert operations," calling the drone's presence in its skies a "blatant and unprovoked air violation" --- one that was "tantamount to an act of hostility."
The stealth drone has been used to provide "persistent surveillance" of Iranian nuclear sites, helping military planners track activities at the sites as well as personnel movements.
The loss of the drone is Iran's gain, especially in light of the equipment and the advanced technology carried by the robotic aerial vehicle.
It is likely that Iranian scientists will closely examine the drone to seek better ways of hiding its secrets from foreign surveillance in future, military analysts said.
Breaking: Islamic Terror Groups Plot Attacks On US From Latin America
While the news media in Latin American countries are covering this ongoing story, the U.S. media is delivering scant coverage -- or no coverage at all -- a U.S. law enforcement commander told the Law Enforcement Examiner.
Univision, a multi-national Spanish-language TV network, this week aired a disturbing documentary titled, “La Amenaza Irani,” (Iranian Threat), The documentary uses undercover, never-before-seen video footage to illustrate how Iran’s growing political, economic and military ties to Latin America threaten U.S. security, according to a blog published by the Washington, DC-based watchdog group Judicial Watch.
According to the JW blogger, Univision documentary is the result of a seven-month investigative report in which college-aged Mexicans infiltrated diplomatic circles in Mexico to obtain recordings that prove diplomats from Iran, Venezuela and Cuba planned a cybernetic attack against the White House, FBI, Pentagon and U.S. nuclear plants.
The documentary reportedly features secret video taken by extremists linked to Iran and footage from an undercover journalist who infiltrated Venezuelan military camps where terrorists trained. The news network’s investigative team also tracked the expansion of Iranian interests in the hemisphere, including money-laundering and drug-trafficking activities by terrorist groups supported by Iran, the Judicial Watch blog detailed.
A segment of the often shocking documentary is allegedly dedicated to the connection between Mexican drug cartels and the foiled plot to murder the Saudi ambassador in Washington D.C. a few months ago. One of the Iranians charged had been ordered by that country’s Special Forces to travel to Mexico to recruit members of the notorious drug cartel “Los Zetas” to carry out the plot.
The massive scheme against U.S. government information and computer systems had been in the works years earlier, the documentary reveals.

I have always wanted to have my family history traced. Researching I've found that it is quite expensive. I really can't afford to spend a lot of money but really want to know. Do you have any suggestions that may help me with this endeavor?

Obama’s Alias,Harrison J. Bounel,Disappears From The Internet
“I believe Obama supporters are trying to eliminate any and all evidence of Obama’s shady past from all public databases,”Hendershot told WND. “It’s the only explanation for why the alias ‘Harrison J. Bounel’has dropped from sight in database searches on public records done for Obama’s Social Security number and home address in Chicago.”
Hendershot documented his analysis in a report written for WND that can be read in its entirety here.
As seen in Exhibit 1,Hendershot has put together a chart that documents how he first found the Harrison J. Bounel name appearing in databases he was using to search properties in Chicago, and how he has worked with WND to make a series of previously unknown disclosures about the Obama home in Chicago’s upscale Kenwood neighborhood at 5046 S. Greenwood Avenue.

'Widening Public Interest In Paul Campaign'
For the next few weeks, Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney will be calling each other names and questioning each other's conservatism, which just might open the door for Ron Paul to charge through the gap and win the Iowa caucus. If he doesn't win, I predict a strong second.
I have suggested for some time that Paul's organization in Iowa is stronger than pundits realize, the loyalty of his followers is deeper and his performance in Iowa will surpass his numbers in the polls. Recently I have added emphasis to the well-managed Paul campaign and the strength of his ads.

How Treasury Secretary Geithner Deals With Traffic Jams
But what really caught my eye is how the Geithner motorcade deals with traffic jams:
To meet with national leaders and financial officials in five cities in three countries in three days, you need a little help getting around. That's where a police-escorted motorcade comes in handy.
Geithner's caravan of limousines and vans for staff and reporters drew police escorts in each city he visited.
It all worked well until Geithner's entourage hit Marseilles right at rush hour. The road from the airport to a downtown hotel where Geithner was meeting Spanish Prime Minister-elect Mariano Rajoy Brey was jammed.
Still, not to worry. The motorcycle escorts simply squeezed between the two lanes of cars headed into town. The cars were forced to both sides of the road, clearing a path in the middle for the motorcade.
I think I may try this in DC. Any interns out there willing to hop on motorcycles to clear a path for me?

Rand Paul Single-Handedly Halts A Potential Future Military Confrontation With Russia
This week he has stopped another amendment. This one would have significantly increased tensions with Russia and committed the United States to fight a war in Russia's backyard, if Russia attacked Georgia.
Senator Rand, as Brian Koening at The New American put it, "single-handedly thwarted an amendment proposed by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) drafted to advance Georgia’s application for NATO membership...Paul firmly opposed Rubio’s amendment, suggesting that expanding NATO in this sensitive region could entangle the United States in Georgia’s affairs with a nuclear-armed Russia, potentially risking a U.S.-Russian war."
Here's Pat Buchanan on what Rand did:

Romney: Islam Is A Peace-Loving Religion
At a campaign event in Cedar Rapids Friday, the subject of how to handle the threat posed by radical Islam was raised.
As reported in the Des Moines Register, Romney reminded the gathering he had grown up in the Detroit area which has a large Muslim community.
About radical Islam Romney said, "They take a very different view of Islam than the Muslims I know."
"I believe people of the Islamic faith do not have to subscribe to the ideas of radical, violence and jihadism," added Romney.
One man at the event claimed he had not heard Muslims denouncing Islamic jihad or terrorism.
Romney countered, saying , "Most Muslims are peaceful people who deserve respect" but he emphasized radicals pose a threat to Americans and others around the world.

Are These Satellite Images Exposing America's Secrets?
At Google Maps, anyone can search for the names of military bases and zoom in to see airstrips and possibly even top-secret military drones like the RQ-170 Sentinel lost in Iran last week. Aviation website Flight Global has done just that, and claims to have found the secret airstrip at Yucca Lake, Nev., used for testing the RQ-170.
