Today's Survey Question 12-8-11

Do you agree with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services refusing to allow the Plan B pill to be sold over the counter?

  1. Yes I disagree with selling it over the counter. It would be abused too much, shoplifted too often, and would give too many women the mistaken notion that they had a guaranteed solution for unprotected sex, possibly leading to an increase in disease transmission and more unwanted pregnancies if the medication failed or was taken too late.

  4. Good way to keep the people poor and submissive. Freedom of choice should apply here.

The federal government needs to butt out of state's rights.

  5. Yes, I agree. The problem most do not understand the intent of this drug. It does not end a pregnancy-it prevents implantation therefore it is useless if one is already pregnant.

  6. I agree with 11:46 to a point. The problem is some of these teenage mothers WANT to have kids they cannot support so they would not use Plan B anyway. The media and the system have taught them they do not have to even graduate high school, just produce children and their needs will be met forever.
My concern is the side effects of Plan B could be dangerous, that alone is enough to study on this more.

  7. Kids today can walk into any grocery store or drug store and buy combinations of drugs (cough, medicine, Dramamine, night time sleep aids) all for the sake of getting a buzz. Be real. If they can't get the drugs they just huff acetone and cleaning fluids.
