A memorial service is planned for today for an Eden, Maryland man still missing after his sailboat capsized in the Chesapeake Bay near Sandy Point last Saturday afternoon.
The service for Tyler Cordrey is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church on Phillip Morris Drive in Salisbury.
Cordrey was boating with his dog Roscoe, his girlfriend, 25-year-old Taylor Rogers of Salisbury and a friend, 40-year-old Daniel DeNike of Laurel, Marylandwhen their sailboat capsized.
DeNike and Rogers were pulled from the water about an hour after the boat went down about 2:30 p.m.; DeNike died at the hospital; Rogers was treated for hypothermia.
Maryland Natural Resources Police say the dog nor Cordrey have been found; they are still searching; how long that search will continue is NOT known.
My son wrestled with Tyler at JMB and I always remember how Tylers smile would light up the room.
ReplyDeleteHe was always helping the new team members and he loved the sport.
My Thoughts and Prayers are with you.
