Dover, DE- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a one vehicle crash in which a vehicle severely damaged a Dover home this morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m. this morning as Mark L. Lefevre, 49, was operating a 2007 Ford Expedition and was stopped on the shoulder of eastbound East Lebanon Road in Dover. For an unknown reason, Lefevre accelerated his vehicle and traveled in a northeast direction across the westbound lanes of Rt. 10. The Expedition then left the roadway and climbed an embankment where it struck a fence. It then continued down the embankment where it struck the rear of two homes located in the 100 block of Planters Run Court.
Mark Lefevre was able to exit the vehicle and was evaluated by responding EMS. He refused medical treatment. Lefevre was citied by troopers with Inattentive Driving and No Proof of Motor Vehicle Insurance.
Officials from the Kent Count Office of Licenses and Inspection responded to the scene and determined that one of the two homes that were struck was uninhabitable at this time. An occupant of one of the two houses, who was home at the time of the crash, was also not injured.
The crash remains under investigation. Alcohol or drugs does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
