Congress is set to give the green light on funding for a massive expansion of TSA checkpoints, with the federal agency already responsible for over 9,000 such checkpoints in the last year amidst increased fears America is turning into a police state following the passage of the ‘indefinite detention’ bill.
The increase in funding has nothing to do with the TSA’s role in airports – this is about creating 12 more VIPR teams to add the federal agency’s 25 units that are already scattered across the country and responsible for manning checkpoints on highways, in bus and train terminals, at sports events and even high school prom nights.

How do all of you boot licking, heel-clicking seig heil "if you're not doing anything wrong, why worry" buffoons feel now? You thought the idea of "checkpoints" was GREAT, because your cousin, brother, good friend, (whatever), was killed by a drunk driver. So you thought your personal tragedy was a VERY good rationalization for erasing EVERYONE ELSE'S protections granted by the Bill of Rights. You were good with that. Loved it. Now, we have police believing that they can put up "checkpoints" (Nazi checkpoints) anywhere they want. Get used to being stopped, searched, questioned, examined, and abused. That is, BEFORE you have been accused, arrested, or tried. Maybe they'll get to strip search your teenage daughter. Or your wife. And don't forget, say the wrong thing, like "who in the hell do you think you are?!!", and you can (and will) be "detained" at an undisclosed location for however long it takes you to "learn who the boss is" (clue: it ain't "we, the people" anymore). Which one of our representatives, who swore to uphold the Constitution, voted "yea" when asked? I recommend at least a thousand rounds for every weapon you have. I also recommend you buy some more (weapons, that is). Checkpoints? In the USA?? Vere ahhh yor pay-pahs??!!
