Thanksgiving Travelers To Pay More For Gas In 2011

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - The Mid-Atlantic Triple A says it's not too early to think about Thanksgiving and the price of holiday travel.

The auto club says the price of gasoline is likely to be significantly higher than the 2010 holiday.

The Triple-A says the national average price of gasoline is 58 cents higher than one year ago, and it forecasts a price of about $3.40 per gallon when Thanksgiving rolls around.

The cost of a gallon of gas last Thanksgiving was $2.87 a gallon nationally.
