Should Parents Turn In Their Criminal Children?

BETHESDA, Md. (WUSA) --- The parents of a 13-year-old Ohio boy now charged with raping a five-year-old girl in a McDonalds play area faced an ethical dilemma when they recognized him on a video as a suspect in the case. They turned him in.

In Montgomery County after a 16-year-old boy killed and dismembered another boy in the late 1990s, his family helped him escape to Israel where he was allowed to plead to a deal that will allow him to be considered for parole, an unlikely outcome in Maryland where the penalty would probably have been harsher.

  1. Absolutely. My kids know that their mom would be the first in line to kick their behinds.

  2. Yes, they should!
On top of that, if their kid is stupid enough to get themselves arrested, the parents should leave their behind sitting in jail and not rush over to bail them out!
    That teaches them nothing!

  5. Absolutely-if their 13 year old is raping little girls, they (the parents) are obviously part of the problem.Thank our schools and juvenile justice system for forcing "mainstreaming" of psychotic children.

  6. Well... let's look to the Bible for wisdom on rebellious children. Deuteronomy 21:18-21 makes it very clear.... stoning to death.

We do NOT turn them over to the authorities, we take them to the elders of our city, call them gluttons and drunkards, then stone them to death.

    Seems pretty clear to me.
