Last night, former Bush official Karl Rove appeared at Johns Hopkins University to speak as a part of the annual Milton S. Eisenhower Symposium. Rove soon discovered that he wasn’t going to deliver his right-wing rhetoric unopposed, as a cry of “Mic Check!” rang out among the audience.
Karl Rove was the puppet master of George W. Bush, which makes him partly responcible for many of our countries ills. Egg chunking comes to mind.
ReplyDeleteRove, whether he likes the idea or not, should take a moment to read the Bill of Rights. Perhaps the right of assembly or perhaps the right to free speech (no matter how "inconvienient" it may be to him), or even the right to protest. Maybe even the beginning of the Declaration of Independence would refresh his historical perspective. Rove would have LOVED to see the riot police club some unarmed people. Maybe mace some eighty year old woman. Don't think for a minute that HE didn't enrich himself the same way all of his political friends did, which is, by hook and crook, insider trading and information, stock manipulations, and "gifts", bribes, and "winks" at others doing the same thing. Thomas Jefferson would PUKE at the current crop of "politicians" and their cronies.
ReplyDeleteOh bullshit. Whining about rights and free speech while these silly twerps try to silence Rove's conference is complete hypocrisy. I dislike Rove, but I am sick to death of the self-proclaimed champions of tolerance and diversity of opinion. They are always the first to censor and pre-judge those with whom they disagree.
