I'll Buy You A Beer If You'll Sign My Petition, (LOL)

Former Director of Urban Salisbury and the Urban Salisbury Staff were present last night at MoJo's. Bruce Patterson was present with his pad in hand trying to get signatures for Laura Mitchell. Why is it I can picture this guy at a funeral with a pad in hand?

  1. What are you afraid of. He's perfectly within his rights to be there and do what he is doing. Some day someone is going to shove that camera up your ass.

  2. anonymous 9:46, ROTFLMAO!

Well, in 7 years, not one person has been man enough to do so.

Just anonymous pussies like yourself making threats but too afraid to get your own ass kicked.

Do note my name is on this comment.

  6. Joe, correct me if I'm wrong, but does it seem like a lot of the people behind this petition drive are disgruntled people who wanted the council to keep handy out money for no results? Names from Urban Salisbury, the Chamber of No Commerce, those types?

In fact, come to think of it, it seems like this is supported by people who previously led this town to the brink of financial ruin: Barrie Tilghman, Louise Smith, Tony Sarbanes (county tax hikes), SAPOA, now Ireton, who felt Urban Salisbury funding was more important than paying police, and now Mitchell who doesn't seem to be all that good about spending either.

You know who the people are better than most, Joe. What do you think?

  7. Bill D, thanks for the laugh. I publicly announce what events I'm going to. I have an Office Downtown in which the front door is always open.

anonymous 9:55, you are spot on. I firmly agree with your comment.

  8. I think everyone should sign it and when it becomes a referendum vote to leave it as it stands. That way they get the petition but it doesnt change anything

  10. This explains why supervisors at PRMC are asking employees if they live within city limits. I bet ol' Brucie wants us to sign his petition.

  11. Joe you better keep your blinds closed. When I ride by and they are open I can see you inside and it is easy to get zeroed in on you.

  12. 1:57, seriously??? I wonder if any of those supervisors are telling people to "sign it or else"?

  13. What a disgustingly vindictive place Salisbury has become. After reading the comments here, the light bulb lit up over my head.

Bruce Patterson was one of the angry guys with Urban Salisbury, wasn't he, Joe? He works at PRMC, too, right?

You may not have been too far off with funeral comment.

I hope I never have to go to that place ever again.

  14. 1:77, If that's true it would be worrisome on several fronts. Would it make a difference that PRMC has non-profit status, could it be considered workplace harassment, and could there be an unspoken suggestion that if you don't sign you could be "punished?" It just doesn't seem right, if true. Joe, Maybe you should ask readers if anyone has reports of being given false information to get them to sign, being offered and compensation, being worried about eviction, etc. These are tricks that have been reported in the past when people were trying to influence voters.
