BERLIN -- Assateague Island National Seashore is joining other national parks across the country in celebrating Veterans Day next weekend by waiving entrance fees to the barrier island. Assateague officials this week announced a fee-free entrance to both the Maryland and Virginia districts of the National Seashore all next weekend in commemoration of Veteran’s Day, which is held November 11.
