Streets Around US Capitol In Washington Closed For Suspicious Package Investigation

WASHINGTON — U.S. Capitol Police have shut down streets around the U.S. Capitol building while they investigate a suspicious package.

Police say an officer noticed a small metal cylinder with end caps on it on Pennsylvania Avenue about 7 a.m. Thursday. Authorities say they have not been able to determine what it is.
