Scientists for the first time have derived thriving colonies of embryonic stem cells from human embryos created using cloning technology.In experiments documented in an article released today by the journal Nature, a team of scientists from the New York Stem Cell Foundation Laboratory claim they created two lines of the cells through the use of somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT), the less emotionally and politically charged term for cloning.
