State Test Scores To Count In Teacher Evaluations

A decades-long effort to link teacher evaluations to state test scores is set to go into effect next year.

Under recent federal requirements, teacher evaluations will include a measure of student progress as shown by state tests.

Earlier this year, Delaware received a $119 million Race to the Top grant, setting in motion the recent scramble by educators to create a measure of student improvement that uses the state test and other student-growth data to show student progress.

  2. Sorta like blaming doctors if patients who smoke too much, eat too much and won't take their meds. are not in good health.
