Busch: State needs to fast-track many projects

House Speaker Michael Busch gaveled an end to the General Assembly's special session Thursday morning, walked across the hall to his office and closed the door. He tossed his jacket over the back of a chair and took a deep breath.

The governor's congressional redistricting plan had just finished making its way through the legislature, and it was time for the speaker to focus on what's next.

What's next is the regular session, which will start in 78 days.
