Resume:
Frankford-The Delaware State Police Troop 4 Property Unit Detectives have charged a Frankford man and woman in connection with 5 residential burglaries that took place Wednesday evening, October 19, 2011 in the development of Plantation Park, west of Ocean View.
Delaware State Police Detectives have charged Kristie L. Kirkpatrick-41 and Jeffrey J. Andrew-22, both of Frankford, DE with a total of 25 charges related to Burglary Second Degree, Theft, Criminal Mischief, Possession of Burglar Tools, and Conspiracy. They have both been committed to correctional institutions listed above.
The arrest of the couple was the result of an unrelated investigation by the Delaware State Police Sussex County Governor’s Task Force that went to the residence of Jeffrey Andrew located in the 31000 block of Alabama Drive. Once inside the residence they located Andrew and Kirkpatrick, and also observed property that was consistent with the rash of recent burglaries. Troop 4 Property Unit detectives joined the investigation and were able to connect Kirkpatrick and Andrew for their involvement in the burglaries that took place in Plantation Park, last Wednesday evening. The duo would forcibly enter the residences through locked doors and windows. Once inside they would remove flat screen televisions, video game systems, and other property.
Detectives have recovered stolen property from these burglaries and are in the process of conducting an inventory to identify ownership of the items and will contact the victims when this process is complete.
