10,000 Finance Jobs To Vanish From Wall Street

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- The New York state comptroller expects Wall Street to lose 10,000 jobs by the end of 2012.

The job losses are projected to occur in New York City's securities industry from now through December, 2012, according to Eric Sumberg, press spokesman for state comptroller Thomas DiNapoli.

  2. Looks like those protesters may get their wish.

    Problem is they have not thought out the consequences of getting rid of many "rich" folks.

    Seems like the city's tax base may experience some shrinkage with this exodus, leaving many of the "free" services now enjoyed by the "99" lacking in funding.

    What will they do with themselves then?
