ReplyDeleteJust curious.... why would he be announcing a run for office when this year is a redistricting year. No one knows where the lines will be drawn. Mr. King, you are very much premature. Maybe it is your youthfulness that would make you step out like this but my advice would be, have your cookout but don't be fool enough to announce a candidacy for 2014. It is only 2011.
ReplyDeleteDear Mr. King
ReplyDeleteI have never met you but my advise is for stay put at your present occupation.
You see it doesn't really matter if you win or not as we - (easternshore)-are so outnumbered that we only garner 9 Delegate votes out of 141 Delegates represented by the region from the Chesapeake Bay eastward to the Atlantic Ocean.
Bottom line - it is a lost cause to believe that you will really make a difference.
We would be much better to ask Hillary Rodham to get her buttox back here to try and negotiate a separate territory for the easternshore counties of Maryland.
Beezer - Amen! I agree. Why isn't Hillary here at home working instead of working for others. Doesn't she realize that charity should begin here at home first.
ReplyDeleteI say Statehood for the Easternshore Counties - NOW!
The Worcester County Central Committee just had elections and wisely chose to not elect Mr. Matthew King. The chairman is the very capable Dr. Sharon Nelson. Mr. King's political experience is limited and he has shown that he can be easily swayed. His membership on the committee seems to be self serving. We should be looking for candidates who have proven themselves to be leaders with integrity, loyalty , and a willingness to "pay their dues" and do the work themselves.
ReplyDeletePlease be away that any negative comments that are being directed at Mr. King is personal and not the views of the Republican Women of Worcester County. Advice is always welcome. Corrective criticism is healthy. jrg
