WASHINGTON -- A growing trend in psychiatry is giving a whole new meaning to face time. Online therapy makes the most out of technology by connecting doctors and their patients through Skype on laptops or smartphones.
It's easy to use. Just sign in to Skype and voila! Share your inner most thoughts with your therapist in the comfort of your own home, office or pretty much anywhere else quiet enough to chat.
The New York Times reports that some psychiatrists actually charge less for these sessions because they are saving on gas and office rent.
