LEXINGTON, VA. – Officials in this city where Robert E. Lee and Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson are buried are considering limits on downtown flag-flying, including the Confederate flag, angering defenders of the divisive Southern symbol.
The Sons of Confederate Veterans organized a rally ahead of a scheduled public hearing Thursday night and an expected vote. Organizers of the "Save our Flags" rally are offering free hot dogs and music, have lined up speakers and distributed a flyer with a drawing of Lee, a tear rolling down his cheek.
FLy it over he White House so Obama knows what Country he is in; not a Europe Country.
ReplyDeleteIt's part of American history and family history and to ban the flag would be discrimination.
ReplyDeleteIf they are going to ban this flag, they better ban any and all flags from other countries. They offend me.
ReplyDeleteI'm buying a Confederate flag today!
ReplyDeleteIts these very same traditions of hatred ,disguised as something noble and honerable that are slowly destroying what could be the greatest nation on earth.
ReplyDelete10:37 back up your empty statement with a fact. How is the confederate flag tied to hatred? It was a battle flag of the rebels who rebelled against the federals over reach and now it's American history and for you deny it and try and whitewash history is racist.
ReplyDeleteI'm offended at the flying of the mexican flag at rallies and demonstrations across the USA. Ban that one, too.
ReplyDeleteYou scream for gay rights and the rights for illegals but fight against American heritage.
ReplyDeleteI'm just as offended when I can't have my religious freedoms because of some minority of people who want to hate Christians. And, they get away with it becuase of the ignorant dumbocrat liberals.
