Salisbury Police Department Press Release 9-28-11

On September 25, 2011 at approximately 8:56 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the one hundred (100) block of Carrolton Avenue for the report of a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival the officers found that a vehicle operated by the below listed suspect had left the roadway at the intersection of Marian Street, had run over a sign and had struck a victim sitting on the front porch of his residence. The vehicle then crossed the yards of two (2) homes and came to rest after striking a parked vehicle. The victim, 34 year old Andre Lorenzo Stanley of Salisbury, was transported to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center and was listed in serious condition. The suspect exited the vehicle following the accident and fled from the area on foot. Officers were able to locate the suspect one (1) block away on John Street. The suspect was positively identified by witnesses to the incident and taken into custody. During the arrest, the suspect became combative and assaulted the arresting officers. The suspect was transported to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center for medical evaluation due to the motor vehicle accident and was treated and released. The suspect was found to have been driving the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. This investigation is continuing and additional charges are anticipated.

Driving while intoxicated

On September 26, 2011 at approximately 9:32 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Salisbury Immediate Care facility on South Salisbury Boulevard for the report of a disorderly subject. Upon arrival the officers met with employees who advised that the below listed suspect was acting in a disorderly manner on their premises and was scaring their employees and patients. The officers met with the suspect and attempted to calm him without success.

ARRESTED: Daniel Marc Lader, 25 years of age

CHARGES: Disorderly conduct
Disturbing the peace
Obstructing and hindering an investigation
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking

On September 27, 2011 at approximately 2:35 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to an address on the nine hundred (900) block of Beaglin Park Drive for the report of an assault. Upon arrival the officers met with an adult male victim who advised that he had been involved in a domestic type argument with the below listed suspect. During the argument, the suspect struck the victim in the chest and mouth area.

ARRESTED: Rachel Brooke Thomas, 25 years of age

CHARGES: Second degree assault
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking
