QUOTES OF THE DAY 9-20-11

“One thing is clear: The Founding Fathers never intended a nation where citizens would pay nearly half of everything they earn to the government.”
Ron Paul

“I’m convinced that you never have to give up liberties to be safe. I think you’re less safe when you give up your liberties.”
Ron Paul

“Mr. Speaker, I once again find myself compelled to vote against the annual budget resolution for a very simple reason: it makes government bigger.”
Ron Paul

“Setting a good example is a far better way to spread ideals than through force of arms.”
Ron Paul

“Truth is treason in the empire of lies.”
Ron Paul, The Revolution: A Manifesto

  1. 2% approval rate? LOL. WHO'S putting THAT number out there? He's consistent and truthful, and I pity any of the other candidates that try to debate him on ANY subject. Paul will have them twisting in the wind trying to explain and justify their convoluted and contradicting positions, which they mainly take, not from any true conviction, but as a political ploy to gain the support of some particular group.

  2. The media is afraid of him , I would love to see him in the oval office and obama shining his shoes.

  3. Whereas I agree with him concerning all these quotes, because we see eye-to-eye on fiscal matters, I totally disagree with his recent statement that 9/11 was the fault of the U.S. because we were occupying foreign lands. These people are on a Jihad, they don't want to kill us because we have troops in Kuwait, they want to kill us because we aren't Muslim. Ron Paul doesn't get it, in that manner he is no different than Obama.

And when did they start their Jihad?

Most people think it is un-american or un-patriotic to think we have caused some of the things that have befallen us.

Truth is, we are responsible for some of our troubles.

We need to take our blinders off and take an honest look at our country and some of its actions.

We are far from perfect and we have made errors. Plenty of them.

A wise man once said, if errors are not corrected, they become mistakes. We have plenty of those also.

The time has come to stop blindly following whatever comes down the pike with a flag covering it, in the name of patriotism.

Start thinking for yourselves. Politicians are professional liars. The MSM is their voice.

We need to get out of these wars and occupations and bring our troops home.

Re-build our nation and protect our borders.

They can polish a turd but it is still a turd.

  5. 6:10,

Yes and no. I think the best explanation has been to ask ourselves how we would feel if they came over here with guns and tanks, made military bases here, and tried to tell us how to run our country, what to teach our kids, and where to sell our national products or get shot/ blown up. Sure the want to kill the group that is doing that to them in their country... and if we represent ourselves as a peace loving Christian nation, then that is who they will extend the hatred and killing towards.

We need to try Plan B; come home, protect our own selves at our own borders and let the other countries in the world do the same. Sure, we need to protect ourselves from a little further out, and through some forceful negotiations, but unless we are in a declared war, we need to regroup over here. We have enough to worry about right here at home.

  6. Joe, you really like this wack job huh? Every once in a while something comes out of his mouth that you stop and say wow that makes a lot of sense. But then again when you talk as much as Ron Paul does that is bound to happen.

That could be said about some posters also. Couldn't it?
