After delivering a combative Labor Day speech that some conservatives called too hostile, labor union leader James Hoffa is standing by his remarks.
"Everybody here has a vote," Hoffa, president of the International Brotherhood of the Teamsters, said Monday at a Detroit event. "If we go back and we keep the eye on the prize, let's take these sons of bitches out and give America back to America where we belong."
The remarks came ahead of President Obama's appearance at the event, and conservative bloggerscriticized the president for not condemning the remarks.
With any luck, he'll have the same fate as the other Jimmy Hoffa!! The sooner the better!
ReplyDeleteThey're desperate and are showing their true colors.
ReplyDeleteWhy does EVERYONE keep correcting this scumbag's grammar? He didn't say "sons of bitches," (which is correct) he said "son of a bitches," which, of course, isn't. Why make him appear smarter than he is? He's a primitive throwback to a time when violence was accepted as a legitimate form of protest and a means of getting that which you felt you needed to survive. Violence (and threats of violence) to intimidate is the final refuge of those who can't win the argument through logic, reason and rule of law. Hoffa and his union thug cronies know they are losing the argument and have outlived their usefulness. They are now turning to what worked for them decades ago. The difference is that now most people no longer sympathize with what the unions consider to be their "plight." Union membership has declined to the point that unions must continue to try to FORCE membership on people who don't want to be members and to collude with politicians (Democrats, who receive millions from the unions) to force non-members to pay for "benefits received" from the union's alleged activities on their behalf. Any self-respecting, civilized human being (who may also belong to a union) will disavow Hoffa's remarks, any future such insults and veiled threats (maybe not so veiled) made toward fellow Americans who have the same right to peacefully express their opinions that they claim (not always so peacefully) for themselves.
ReplyDeleteI thought we were more civilized than this. I guess that makes me the naive one this time.
With any luck, he'll have the same fate as the other Jimmy Hoffa!! The sooner the better!

That's just mean and uncalled for. You are stooping to their level.
We are better than that. Unions are in their death throes. They are struggling to survive and will grasp at any straw they can.
