Fraternal Order Of Eagles Delivers Pork Chop Dinners To The Homeless
One thing that never gets old is giving to those who are down on their luck. The Fraternal Order of Eagles delivered, (once again) quite a few pork chop dinners, (including rolls and desert) this weekend.
What a wonderful group! I've never heard of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, but they deserve much thanks from all of us. (And I think they had dessert, not desert. LOL)
Because we have announced the wonderful gifts the Fraternal Order of Eagles have provided, Salisbury News received word tonight that a local school will be doing a canned food drive for these people.
We'll announce who they are in due time but we unfortunately cannot do so because of the Anti Albero Bloggers constantly calling and harassing them. It's a shame we live in such an environment or have to deal with such horrible people.
Well, now that the Eagle's have stepped up, what about the rest of your fraternal organizations. Moose, Elks, American Legion, VFW, Redmen's. There's a lot of other fraternal organizations in Wicomico County that should now step up...All of the above have chapters in Wicomico County and could almost always donate...Step up folks!!!
Oh and the other clubs in the area that always have leftover food...yacht clubs...golf courses...although they may not be non-profit, some of them are not-for-profit...not sure about local restaurants and the laws. Also, not only the tent cities, what about homeless shelters and the battered women's shelter. They accept donations too...
My church always takes any leftover food we have (from congregational meals, for example) to Christian Shelter. Providing food for the homeless and those in shelters is a wonderful way for a group--porfit or non-profit--to help out.
May God bless you all!
ReplyDeleteWinter is coming. What are those folks gonna do when it gets cold?
ReplyDeleteWho are the Fraternal Order of the Eagles?
