(PRINCESS ANNE, MD) – An autopsy has revealed the cause and manner of death for a missing Wicomico County woman whose body was found in Somerset County last Sunday.
The victim was identified on Monday as Alice E. Davis, 55, of the 3500-block of Allen Road, Eden, Md. Her body had been found on September 11th, in a wooded area in the 13000-block of Loretto Road, Princess Anne, Md. She had been missing from her home since September 5, 2011.
An autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore has revealed the victim’s cause of death was blunt force trauma. The trauma had been sustained on the back of the victim’s head. The item used to inflict the trauma has yet to be identified. Doctors ruled the victim’s manner of death was homicide.
Maryland State Police investigators have returned to the scene today where the victim’s body was located. They are conducting an additional search of the area for any evidence that may still be there.
Investigators from the State Police Homicide Unit are working in cooperation with the Wicomico County Bureau of Investigation, which was handling the original missing person investigation. The investigation is continuing.

The coward hit her in the back of the head. Well, me personally, I'm glad the POS is dead and suffered a slow and painful death.
ReplyDeleteHow could anyone, especially a husband, do that to another human being? He must have had so much hate in his heart that it simply blinded him. (I realize that it has not been concluded with certainty that he is the perpetrator). I just cannot imagine using that kind of blunt force on anyone, including my worst enemy. (I thank God that I have no enemies that I'm aware of). Mrs. Davis has received her eternal rest. We can only mourn for her and remember her as she was here on earth. What a tragic, senseless loss!
ReplyDeleteLet's give this a rest now that it's "case closed"!
ReplyDeleteI guess we'll never know why cause the coward didn't leave a note. I know it has to be hard for the family but she was loved by so many in the community, i'm hoping one day they will decide to shed some light on this horrific crime and his motives.
ReplyDeleteSo very sad. :'-(
ReplyDeleteSheriff Lewis said he felt confident they identified her murderer, and he is now dead. So why are they continuing to spend precious resources on the investigation?
ReplyDeleteThe UN estimates that there are more than 5000 Muslim women Honor-killed each year - at least reported killings. That figure could go be as high as 100,000 a year.

Does anyone know if her husband was of the Muslim faith or maybe a recent convert.
Folks,
ReplyDeletePlease let this all go....from all accounts, a kind soul has passed... it is not our place to judge or examine, question or ask. God will do this, and we have no place to say anything, but pray for her and those that lived her life with her. Let it go...she is with God, and that is enough.

Mike lewis dropped the ball on this one. he should have found a reason to detain him.
ReplyDeleteWell said, 8:31!
ReplyDeleteyou think mike lewis dropped the ball on this, why dont you go though all the years or training he has, then show us how you could do better.thanks mike, hats off to you.
ReplyDeleteKind of like the guy in Aruba (Giordano) They are not letting him leave the country (at least for now and it has been over a month that they have detained him). No real proof either but they are one step ahead of this guy who tried to leave the country. Even though it was probably already too late for Alice, maybe more information could have been found out about her husband by "detaining" him for more questioning and by interviewing more of her friends/family if that had not been done. May Alice Rest in Piece now.
ReplyDelete8:52 if Davis had been arrested he would not have taken his own life, saving the tax payers a bundle
ReplyDelete4:15 is it possible he pushed her and she hit her head
6:28 many loose ends and procedure could be the reason
8:31 it is not human nature but what you penned is the way it should be
5:59 the last sentence of your post is incorrect
Glad the SOB killed himself. Think of all the money he saved the taxpayers. Such a shame a much loved and talented teacher was lost at his hand.
ReplyDelete7:47, you are too much. Her husband was a professed Christian. I don't think you can blame this one on the Muslims. Maybe you can try for Obama - that makes about as much sense as your post. He was obviously a sick individual. We may never know what prompted his actions. Our focus should be on praying for Alice's family, friends and students who are grieving. That's all that really matters now. Alice is with the angels.
