California DREAM Act Now On Its Way To Gov. Brown's Desk

The California state Assembly voted Friday to send Gov. Jerry Brown a bill that allows undocumented immigrant college students to receive publicly funded financial aid.

After a lengthy debate, Assembly Bill 131 — the second part of the controversial measure known as the California Dream Act — cleared the lower house on a 45-27 vote.

"Today is a wonderful day," said Assemblyman Manuel PĂ©rez, D-Coachella. "Today is a day of hope.

Today, there are many students throughout the state of California who are saying, 'It's about time.' "

  2. I dont know which state is more liberal California or Maryland. Its like a ball game when the lead keeps changing. When MD bans circumcision then it will be a tie. But now California has the lead.

  5. I think we should send all the illegal immigrants back to where they came from. And stop giving them a free ride for everything on the backs of the American taxpayer.
